Omar Rawi

Omar grew up around residential development, so it’s no surprise that the Orange County native pursued a similar path.

As a Senior Vice President and Regional Land Acquisition and Development Partner for JPI’s West Region, Omar is responsible for oversight of the land acquisition and development process for multifamily projects in the Southern California market.

Over the course of his career, Omar has worked in various capacities in the commercial real estate industry, providing him with a wide breadth of experience. He began his career in multifamily acquisitions before moving to New York City to work on the capital side of the business.

He has been focused on ground-up multifamily development since 2006, and in 2010 Omar followed a more entrepreneurial path and formed his own company that focused on consulting and infill development projects.

He returned to institutional development in 2015, serving as Senior Director of Development for Greystar, and later Executive Vice President of Lincoln Property Company CRE, where he led ground-up multifamily development on the West Coast.

Omar attended the University of Southern California where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration and was also a member of the varsity volleyball team. He later returned to his alma mater to acquire his MBA and Master of Real Estate Development.

Outside of work, Omar loves to travel, ski, and spend time with his wife and two children. These days, his weekends are busy with kids’ soccer and basketball games.
