Michael Cook

VP, Investment Ownership

Michael Cook is a real estate executive with more than 20 years of experience leading investment, asset management, and operational strategy across institutional and entrepreneurial platforms. He has managed billions of dollars in assets across multifamily, office, hotel, retail, mixed-use, and single-family rental portfolios throughout the United States.

Michael currently serves as a Vice President in Development at JPI, where he oversees the Investment and Ownership group. Previously, he founded MCB Capital and ResiShares, raising over $300 million in combined equity and debt capital to acquire, develop, and manage residential real estate platforms. He has also held senior leadership roles at GTIS Partners, Streetlane Homes, and Sylvan Road Capital, leading large-scale asset management, operations, financings, and portfolio growth initiatives.

Michael earned both his MBA in Real Estate Finance and his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and currently serves as an elected Trustee for Plano ISD.
