Jennifer McCloud

Vice President, Compliance and Transactions

While in high school, Jennifer assisted a well-respected Dallas trial lawyer in a case that resulted in the largest jury verdict (at the time) in Fannin County, Texas.   Witnessing the expertise and showmanship of the lead trial attorney, sparked her interest in the legal field.

Thereafter, Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from East Central University where she was the starting point guard for their nationally ranked women’s basketball team.

After college, she landed a position at a mid-size Dallas real estate law firm, where her interest in real estate, capital transactions and governance first began and where, ironically, her first exposure to JPI was made, as the firm represented GE, one of JPI’s capital partners at the time.   Several partners from the firm (turned venture capitalists) recruited her to Aerus Electrolux where she spent 20 years working on a wide variety of in-house legal matters, including corporate governance, acquisitions, franchising, compliance, contracts, litigation, intellectual property and employment matters.

As Vice President of Compliance and Transactions, Jennifer brings almost 30 years of legal experience in ensuring JPI’s compliance with certain legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements and managing certain aspects of JPI’s transactional activities.  Jennifer also plays a significant role in corporate governance, KYC compliance and contract matters and enjoys the variety of work each day brings in JPI’s fast-paced environment.

Jennifer is a relatively new empty-nester as her two daughters are off to college (one who attends Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and one who is a Biology Major at Texas State University).  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and boyfriend, trying new restaurants and recipes, and watching whatever sport is in season.
