Vice President, Preconstruction
For David, preconstruction is half art and half science. With the advantage of a solid budget and schedule to operate with, David can release his creativity to problem solve and find the best way to optimize each project.
As Vice President of Preconstruction, David provides leadership, guidance, and expertise to JPI’s Central and Western Region preconstruction teams through supervision, coordination, and implementation of best practices and established procedures. David’s team provides conceptual cost estimates, quantity estimating, bid solicitation, bid leveling, the scope of work development, value engineering exercises, and the development of final budgets to our construction and development teams to ensure JPI continues to build quality for our customers.
He brings to the JPI team fifteen years of construction and preconstruction experience ranging across a multitude of sectors including multifamily, industrial, and office, having previously held positions at VanTrust Real Estate, Howard Hughes Corporation, and Juneau Construction Company.
David Blanton is a proud native of Georgia, having obtained his bachelor’s degree in management at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
When David is not in the office, he enjoys roughhousing with his kids, amateur media production, and practical handgun competitions.
