Austin Carlson

As long as he can remember, Austin has always enjoyed being immersed in cultures different than his. He’s now put that passion to work as he develops relationships with investors from all over the world, providing an ability to learn from each other’s different backgrounds and experiences.

As Managing Director of Capital Markets, Austin is responsible for origination and recapitalization efforts for JPI, which includes identifying, sourcing, and advising on debt and equity capital for multifamily investment opportunities.

Prior to coming to JPI, Austin served as the Managing Director, head of sales and investor relations at Parkview Financial where he focused on evolving Parkview’s current and prospective investor relationships, as well as raising the profile of the firm through meetings, speaking engagements and industry conferences.

He also spent time as Head of Sales and Marketing on the west coast for SkyBridge Capital, a NYC-based hedge fund. Austin started his career with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in its NYC and LA offices, working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices.

Austin brings a breadth of experience in business development within the wealth management industry. He also has a passion for giving back to the community, specifically to children who may be facing economic or health-related hardships.

When he’s not at work, Austin enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, golfing, cycling, and of course, traveling the world and experiencing other cultures.
