JPI Breaks Ground on Jefferson Castle Hills

This new community will bring 761 homes to Lewisville, TX in 2025

Lewisville, Texas (April 18, 2024) – JPI, a leader in the development of Class A multifamily communities, held a groundbreaking ceremony today to commemorate the start of construction on Jefferson Castle Hills, a 2-phase development bringing 761 homes to Lewisville, Texas.

Located within the 2,900-acre master-planned Castle Hills development, each phase of this new community includes a 5-story wrap structure with 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom homes, all equipped with top-of-the-line features including private yards and balconies, walk-in closets, stainless steel appliances, 10-foot ceilings, and a full-sized washer and dryer in each home.

Designed by Preston Partnership, the vision for this community was thoughtfully crafted to enhance the live/work/play aspects for all residents and boasts outstanding amenities, including a fitness and yoga studio, dog park, private courtyards, multiple pool decks, and a dedicated parking garage.

Jefferson Castle Hills is located south of 121 between Castle Hills Dr. and North Josey Ln. and combines with existing retail – developed by a partnership between Weitzman and Kroger – to offer local residents a full complement of amenities. Phase 1 includes 380 homes with 12 distinctive homes designed to support a live/work environment.  Residents of these homes have the unique ability to maintain a retail storefront on the first floor with their private residence located directly above. Phase 2 includes 381 homes and incorporates three additional live/work homes, two resort-style pools, private courtyards, and a pedestrian sky bridge.

David Palmer, executive vice president with Weitzman, is directing the development of the retail component of the project. He noted the value of the mix of residential and retail that the project is creating. “The retail will serve approximately 1,200 residents, who also will be in walking distance to Castle Hill Marketplace’s Kroger Marketplace grocery store and other tenants.”

“Walkability is a key aspect of the overall community appeal and adds immense value for residents who make their home at Jefferson Castle Hills,” said Aaron Douthit, Vice President of Development with JPI. “Our primary goal for any new community is to add value for residents while positively impacting the local community, and we have no doubt that Jefferson Castle Hills is going to achieve that goal.”

JPI is supported by an esteemed group of investment partners on this development, including Iviron Capital, Kroger, Mirasol Capital, Santander, Texas Capital, and Weitzman.

First occupancy for Jefferson Castle Hills is planned for the 4th quarter of 2025. Interested residents are encouraged to visit the Jefferson Castle Hills Community Page for more information and updates.
