Associate Spotlight: Sang park

At JPI, associates are the heart of our business. We believe that by investing in our associates’ personal and professional well-being we can assemble the best team in the industry.

In April 2022, we introduced Sang Park, Project Director at JPI. Sang was just kicking off his latest journey, getting his EMBA from Baylor University.

Sang came to JPI in 2021, after connecting with JPI first as a CARES Team Member for Apartment Life at Jefferson Stonebriar. “Through my interactions with people at JPI, I knew it was somewhere I wanted to be,” Park said.

Park started off as a Project Manager before being promoted to Senior Project Manager, and now Project Director. While working full-time at JPI, Park said he was looking to shore up his professional development areas since he never received formal training or education in business.

“I decided to pursue my Executive MBA at Baylor University because of the pedigree of the university, as well as the fact that I could continue working while pursuing a higher education,” Park said.

Full-time employees of JPI have the option to take advantage of the Educational Assistance Program, which covers up to 90% of the cost of tuition, textbooks, and certain fees for up to two courses per semester. The program also provides reimbursement for associates advancing their knowledge through certifications and professional designations.

Park is now halfway through the program and is excited to put his new learnings into action.

“I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that is providing a strong business foundation that can be applied for both my individual goals and JPI’s future,” he said. “JPI’s Educational Reimbursement Program made it possible for me to dream bigger.”
