He is motivated by the opportunity to deliver business and social impact through innovation and to work with great people.

Lawrence started his career as an engineer with oilfield services technology leader Schlumberger. He was based in North America, the Middle East, and Asia during his 22 years at Schlumberger, where he held roles in product development, product marketing, field operations management, manufacturing, supply chain, quality management, and corporate strategy. Lawrence holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics from Rice University.

Happily married and the proud father of three boys, Lawrence’s family recently helped him discover that he is a dog person. He is also an avid foodie, loves to play basketball and video games with his kids, travel, and, in quiet moments, enjoys listening to indie folk music.
