Western Region
Director, Development
A native of California, William was drawn to design and building from an early age and was drawn to real estate through a desire to improve the design process and provide a better experience for the end user.
As Director of Development, William leads and manages JPI’s Western Region team of development managers and associates. William encourages collaboration and communication across the entire project lifecycle including design, construction, and asset management. He also works to maintain and grow relationships with community members across the region to ensure JPI is building what matters for the communities we serve.
William is driven to grow and enhance housing options for fellow Californians. He thoroughly enjoys watching raw land turn into stunning homes at the hands of the JPI team. He is proud to serve his community – the City of Encinitas – as a member of the Economic Development Committee and as the Environmental Commissioner. William also serves on the BIA San Diego Political Communication Committee and North County Legislative Committee.
A passionate Trojan, William attended the University of Southern California where he received a bachelor’s degree in public administration and urban planning, as well as a master’s in real estate development. Additionally, he completed a master’s in landscape architecture from Louisiana State.
When he’s not in the office, William enjoys being with his family. You can often find the Morrison family traveling on an adventure, listening to live music, or simply finding joy in watching their daughters embrace new things.
