Michelle King

Michelle originally planned on pursuing a career in teaching. While she was interviewing for teaching positions, she worked as an assistant manager with a small management firm where she was introduced to the multifamily industry… and she never looked back!

As Vice President of Operations, Michelle is responsible for the marketing initiatives and property operations for JPI’s Central Region. She has over twenty years of multifamily property management experience and has successfully led the marketing and lease-up efforts of over 10,000 Class A+ apartment homes.

During her multifamily career, Michelle has led operations teams through due diligence, acquisition, and sales dispositions. Her professional experience includes leadership roles at Trammel Crow Residential Services, Greystar Real Estate Partners, and Lincoln Property Company. Prior to joining JPI in 2018, she served as the Director of Operations for DHI Communities, the multifamily division of DR Horton.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from Lamar University and holds the CPM and ARM designations through the Institute of Real Estate Management and the CAPS designation through the National Apartment Association.

Outside of work, Michelle volunteers with her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop and the mother-daughter National Charity League program. She loves to entertain friends and family, playing cards, and listening to audiobooks.
