JPI Expands into the Southeast with Focus on Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, and Nashville
Statement from JPI CEO Payton Mayes and Economic Advisor Jay Parsons on Southeast Growth Strategy
DALLAS, Texas – August 7, 2025 – JPI is proud to announce our strategic expansion into the Southeast, led by Jake Fortune‑Greeley, Vice President of Development for the region. Jake will spearhead JPI’s growth efforts in Charlotte, Raleigh‑Durham, and Nashville, overseeing site selection, entitlements, design, and team development in these fast-growing markets.
“This expansion is a key pillar of our strategy to grow from a regional leader into a national platform,” said Payton Mayes, CEO of JPI. “We’re targeting strategic markets where we can be the dominant developer and builder.”
JPI enters these markets with a clear mission: to deliver exceptional housing, across the income spectrum, where it’s needed most.
“The Southeast is home to some of the nation’s fastest-growing markets, especially among the core demographic for apartments—young adults,” said Jay Parsons, Economic Advisor to JPI. “With construction starts slowing, we see a unique window for JPI to deliver high-quality communities where they’re most needed.”
This move reflects JPI’s long-term commitment to building thriving communities and expanding our impact beyond Texas and California.
