JPI Completes Land Acquisition for Multifamily Development in Wilmer, Texas
New 300-unit apartment community to break ground in Q2 2026
WILMER, Texas (April 30, 2026) – JPI, a premier developer of multifamily communities, today announced the closing of a 12.8-acre site at 1501 E. Belt Line Rd. in Wilmer, Texas. The land acquisition advances development plans for a new $87,413,052 apartment community, Torrington Wilmer, which will deliver 300 affordable housing options to the Dallas region.
Financed with a $33,397,469 in tax credit equity from CREA, along with a $69,930,441 construction loan and a $48,496,919 perm loan from Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, Torrington Wilmer will deliver 300 attainable homes to a community where demand for workforce housing far outpaces supply.
The three-story apartment community is designed with spacious floorplans for larger households, reserving a high percentage of their unit mix for multibedroom units. Once complete, Torrington Wilmer will offer 33 one-bedroom apartments, 135 two-bedroom apartments, 96 three-bedroom apartments and 36 four-bedroom apartments. Residents will also enjoy a full suite of amenities, including a clubhouse with dedicated workspace, resort-style pool area, fitness center, dog park and greenspace.

Construction for Torrington Wilmer will begin in Q2 2026.
