JPI Begins Construction on Jefferson at Aspen Ridge in Aurora, Colorado

-- JPI, one of the country's largest luxury apartment developers, has begun
construction on Jefferson at Aspen Ridge, announced J. Frank Miller III, Chairman
and CEO. Scheduled to open in February, 2002, the 468-unit community is situated
within close proximity to employment centers including the Denver Tech Center,
Buckley Air Force Base and the DIA corridor, with easy access to E-470 and I-70.
"As the amount of available land diminishes, home prices increase, the
cost of borrowing increases, and current apartment communities are converted
into condominiums, the demand for rental housing is increasing significantly,"
states Brad Taylor, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Partner for
the Rocky Mountain Region. "The Denver economy continues to outperform
most metros in the US, spurring the need for increased quality housing alternatives."
Jefferson at Aspen Ridge will consist of 468 luxury apartment homes in 3-story
garden?style buildings. The site contains approximately 28 acres and is bordered
by Tower Road on the west and Iliff Avenue on the south.
As a JPI standard, all units will feature microwaves, six-panel doors, crown
molding and fireplaces. Washers and dryers will also be included in select units.
The clubhouse will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, laundry facility,
and a business center equipped with computers, fax, and copier. Exterior amenities
will include a resort-style pool and spa along with a children's playground.
JPI has become one of the major residential developers in Colorado. In Denver
alone, JPI has over 1,800 apartment homes in various stages of development or
